Your GeekStop Games Account
If you use the GeekStop Games website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, as well as for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
GeekStop Games sells products to adults (or users under the age of 18 who are under the supervision of a parent or guardian) who are permitted to purchase products with a credit card and/or PayPal account.By entering any credit card information, you make a legal declaration that you are the owner and holder of said credit card.
GeekStop Games reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.
Product Details, Information and Pricing
At GeekStop Games, we attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, we are human and the industry can change. We try to stay on top of things, but we cannot guarantee that product descriptions or other content are accurate, complete, current, or error free.
We also try to keep our pricing competitive and stable, but we reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice.
When shopping with GeekStop Games, all sales are governed by the applicable laws of the province of Ontario and/or the country of Canada.
GeekStop Games offers two methods of delivery: free door-to-door delivery in the immediate London/St. Thomas area, and shipping via Canada Post to areas that are further away.
Please ensure you have provided us with complete and accurate information (including house or apartment number) when you enter your address. In the event that an incorrect/incomplete address is provided and the item is returned to GeekStop Games, we will ask the customer to pay (in full) to ship the item a second time.
Free Local Delivery
If you live in the London, Ontario area, you may qualify for free delivery right to your door. If you live in an outlying area, please contact us to see if you qualify. We will then do our best to arrange for delivery that is convenient and timely.
Flat-Rate or Free Shipping
The Rest of Canada
If you live outside the London/St. Thomas area, we will use flat-rate shipping with Canada Post. The standard shipping method with Canada Post is Expedited Parcel Service which includes up to $100 insurance and tracking. If you would like more insurance, please let us know and a small fee may be charged based on Canada Post pricing.
Flat shipping rates within the 10 Canadian provinces are listed based on province below:
- $11.00 flat-rate shipping to Ontario
- $12.00 flat-rate shipping to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
- $14.00 flat-rate shipping to British Columbia and Newfoundland
However, within the 10 Canadian provinces orders of $200 or more before tax receive free shipping!
All packages should arrive within 2-5 business days once shipped.
United States of America
We now provide a flat shipping rate of $25 within the continental USA.
All packages should arrive within 3-5 business days once shipped.
Distant / International Orders
Shipping to the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut and international countries will be quoted individually per order as prices can vary greatly. Packages tend to arrive in 3-10 business days within North america. Please note that these delivery times are approximations; we cannot guarantee delivery times.
Special shipping requests
We can certainly upgrade your insurance or shipping speed options, or even ship using another courier such as UPS, but with these non-standard options you'll have to get in touch with us (check our Contacts page) for a price quote. We will try to get back to you with the information as quickly as possible.
Please allow yourself extra time in December as the postal system tends to slow down; a few extra days may be required to get your ordered items to you.
All items must be paid in full before GeekStop Games will process and deliver your merchandise. Methods of payment include: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover and PayPal. All transactions are processed through PayPal as a payment gateway. As such, GeekStop Games does not store or have access to your credit card information.
When you proceed to checkout, you will be redirected to PayPal to select your payment option. If you do not have a PayPal account, not to worry! You can simply choose to proceed with the checkout process as a guest.
All prices and sales are in Canadian dollars. If you are using an American credit card, the exchange rate will be based on the credit card company. The current rate of exchange can change daily, and the credit card company's exchange rate can as well.
Pre Orders / Special Orders
Pre orders are items that can be ordered that have not been released yet, while special orders are items that have been released but are currently out of stock. If your order contains any items that are pre orders or special orders, you will see the message: *Order contains pre / special ordered items. This order will be shipped once all items are available.
Your entire order will not ship until all items are in stock. All of the games that are currently in stock that you have ordered will be held until the remaining items are available. You will be charged for the entire order at the time the order is placed.
If you feel that a particular item is taking too long to arrive, you may contact us to remove the unshipped items from the order. A small surcharge may be applied (withheld from the refund) if the pre order/special order is not cancelled within 60 days of the original order date.
If removing the items does not affect the shipping fee, you will receive a full refund. If removing the items reduces the order total below the free shipping threshold, we will withhold the difference from the refund for shipping the remaining games.
GeekStop Games does not list estimated release dates. You may contact us regarding these dates but they are provided by the publishers and are subject to change at any time. It is not uncommon for game releases to be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
GeekStop Games will accept returns of unopened merchandise within 30 days of the purchase date. The game(s) must be in the original shrink wrap and undamaged, otherwise it is not acceptable for refund. Customers are responsible for shipping costs on any returns, and will be refunded the purchase price along with any sales tax. Original shipping charges will not be refunded. Because GeekStop Games uses flat-rate and free shipping options (often shipping orders below our cost), GeekStop Games reserves the right to refund less money to the customer in order to cover the cost incurred while shipping the original order. No refunds will be issued for items received damaged due to poor packing by the customer. If the problem is a game that has missing or damaged game components, please see below.
Damaged or Missing Components
GeekStop Games cannot be held responsible for games with damaged or missing components; this can often be traced back to the publishing level. The publishers typically provide VERY good customer service and are quick to replace missing or damaged components. Each game's publisher can be found as a link on individual game pages. However, if you require assistance, contact us and we can help you with contacting the publisher.
